If you want the power of an always-on AI agent without the headache of configuring Linux servers from scratch, Hostinger is one of the best routes you can take. They have collaborated with the community to build an official OpenClaw template that handles all the complex Docker dependencies behind the scenes.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What You Will Need

Before you start, make sure you have these ready to go:

A Hostinger Account

You will need an active VPS plan (the KVM 1 or KVM 2 plans work perfectly for standard agent operations). Use our link below to get 20% off your plan.

An LLM API Key

Have your API key ready from your preferred provider (like Gemini 3, Claude Opus 4.5, or Codex 5.1).

A Messaging Token (Optional)

If you are connecting your bot to Telegram, grab a fresh token from @BotFather.

Step 1: Deploy the OpenClaw OS Template

Hostinger allows you to swap your server's entire operating system for a pre-configured OpenClaw environment with a single click.

  1. Log into your Hostinger hPanel and click Manage next to your VPS.
  2. In the left sidebar, navigate to OS & Panel, then select Operating System.
  3. Under the Change OS section, select Application, and search for OpenClaw.
  4. Click Change OS and wait about 3โ€“5 minutes for the server to provision.

Step 2: Launch the Browser Terminal Quickstart

Unlike manual setups that require external SSH clients like PuTTY, Hostinger has a built-in browser terminal that launches the OpenClaw setup wizard automatically.

  1. Go back to your VPS Overview page in hPanel.
  2. Click the Terminal button located in the top-right corner.
  3. The terminal will connect to your server and instantly greet you with the OpenClaw Quickstart prompt.
  4. Type Yes to accept the security warning and select Quickstart.

Step 3: Configure the Brain and Channels

The terminal will now guide you through giving your agent its mind and its voice.

  1. Select Your Model: Use your arrow keys to pick the AI provider you generated an API key for.
  2. Authenticate: Paste your API key into the terminal when prompted (don't worry if the text remains hidden while you paste; it is a security feature).
  3. Connect a Channel: Select your messaging app (like Telegram) and paste your bot token.
  4. Approve the Pairing: If you set up Direct Message pairing, the terminal will give you an approval code. Send a message to your bot on Telegram, and it will ask for that code to lock in the connection.

Step 4: Access Your Control UI

Now that the bot is running, you need to connect to the visual dashboard to manage its skills and memory.

  1. In the terminal, the setup script will generate a 64-character OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_TOKEN. Copy this and save it securely.
  2. Open your web browser and navigate to your VPS IP address (e.g., http://your-vps-ip:3000).
  3. Click on the Overview tab in the sidebar.
  4. Paste your OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_TOKEN into the authentication field and click Connect.
  5. When the status indicator turns ๐ŸŸข Connected, you are entirely in control!

๐ŸŽ‰ You're Live!

Your OpenClaw instance is now securely hosted and ready to execute tasks. Try sending it a message to search the web or write a file, and watch it work!
