BlogBurst - AI Content Creation & Distribution

BlogBurst helps you go from idea to published content across 9 social platforms. The typical workflow is:

  1. Brainstorm a title with AI chat
  2. Generate a full blog post from the title
  3. Create platform-optimized posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.

You can also repurpose existing articles by URL.

Setup

  1. Sign up at blogburst.ai
  2. Go to Dashboard > API Keys to generate a key
  3. Set environment variable:
export BLOGBURST_API_KEY="your-key"

All API requests use the header: X-API-Key: $BLOGBURST_API_KEY

Base URL: https://api.blogburst.ai/api/v1

API 1: Brainstorm Titles

Chat with AI to develop a compelling title for your content.

Endpoint: POST /chat/title

Request:

{
  "messages": [
    {"role": "user", "content": "I want to write about AI in healthcare"}
  ],
  "language": "en"
}

This is a multi-turn conversation. Send the full message history each time:

{
  "messages": [
    {"role": "user", "content": "I want to write about AI in healthcare"},
    {"role": "assistant", "content": "Great topic! What aspect interests you most?"},
    {"role": "user", "content": "AI helping doctors diagnose diseases faster"}
  ],
  "language": "en"
}

Response:

{
  "success": true,
  "reply": "Here are some title ideas based on AI-assisted diagnosis...",
  "suggested_titles": [
    "How AI Detects What Doctors Miss in 5 Seconds",

    "When AI Becomes Your First Doctor"
  ],
  "usage": {"tokens_used": 350, "cost": 0.001, "model": "gemini-2.5-flash"}

When to use: When the user provides a URL or pastes existing content and wants it adapted for social platforms.

API 5: Publish to Connected Platforms

Publish content directly to the user's connected social accounts.

IMPORTANT: Before using this API, the user must first connect their social accounts at blogburst.ai/dashboard/connections. Without connected accounts, publishing will fail.

Check Connected Accounts

Endpoint: GET /publish/connected

Response:

{
  "platforms": [
    {
      "platform": "bluesky",
      "username": "@user.bsky.social",
      "connected_at": "2026-02-01T10:00:00Z",
      "capabilities": {"text": true, "images": true, "video": true}
    },
    {
      "platform": "telegram",
      "username": "MyChannel",
      "connected_at": "2026-02-01T10:00:00Z",
      "capabilities": {"text": true, "images": true, "video": true}
    }
  ]
}

When to use: Before publishing, call this to check which platforms the user has connected. If no platforms are connected, tell the user to visit https://blogburst.ai/dashboard/connections to connect their accounts first.

Publish Content

Endpoint: POST /publish

Request:

{
  "platforms": ["bluesky", "telegram", "discord"],
  "content": "Your post content here",
  "image_urls": ["https://example.com/image.jpg"],
  "video_url": null
}

Parameters:

  • platforms (required): Array of connected platform IDs to publish to
  • content (required): The text content to publish
  • image_urls (optional): Array of image URLs to attach
  • video_url (optional): Video URL to attach
  • reddit_subreddit (optional): Subreddit name for Reddit posts
  • reddit_title (optional): Post title for Reddit

{
  "total": 3,
  "successful": 2,
  "failed": 1,
  "results": [
    {"platform": "bluesky", "success": true, "post_url": "https://bsky.app/..."},
    {"platform": "telegram", "success": true, "post_url": "https://t.me/..."},
    {"platform": "discord", "success": false, "error": "Webhook expired"}
  ]
}

When to use: After generating content with API 3 or API 4, when the user wants to actually publish it to their connected platforms. Always check connected accounts first with GET /publish/connected.

Recommended Workflow

For the best results, guide the user through this flow:

  1. Ask what topic they want to create content about
  2. Call API 1 (/chat/title) to brainstorm titles together
  3. Once they pick a title, call API 3 (/blog/platforms) to generate content for their chosen platforms
  4. Present the generated content organized by platform
  5. If the user wants to publish, first call GET /publish/connected to check which accounts are connected
  6. If accounts are connected, call API 5 (/publish) with the generated content for each platform
  7. If no accounts are connected, tell the user: "Please connect your social accounts at https://blogburst.ai/dashboard/connections first"

If the user already has a blog post URL, skip to API 4 (/repurpose).

If the user wants a full blog article first, use API 2 (/blog/generate) before step 3.

Note on publishing: Each platform receives the content tailored for it. For example, send the Twitter thread text to Twitter, the LinkedIn post text to LinkedIn, etc. Do NOT send the same raw content to all platforms โ€” use the platform-specific output from API 3.
